Classes Offered:
Creative Dramatics - $100
Ages 4 – 6 Tuesdays, 9:00 am , 1 hour Minimum enrollment: 5 Maximum enrollment: 15 Creative dramatics is a basic introduction to theatre, using children’s natural instinct for play to focus their imaginations and learn to collaborate with others through theatre games designed for young children. Fundaments of Acting - $100
Ages 10 – 12 Tuesdays, 11:00am 1 hour Minimum enrollment: 5 Maximum enrollment: 15 For older students who are still new to acting, teaches students the fundamentals of acting, including the Three Tools, improv, and staging. Advanced Acting - $175
Ages 14 – 18 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 pm 1.5hours Minimum enrollment: 4 Maximum enrollment: 20 For the advanced actor, experienced in the fundamentals, this class offers advanced character work, scene work, auditioning skills, and advanced improv. |
Building Blocks of Acting - $100
Ages 7 – 10 Tuesdays, 10:00am 1hour Minimum enrollment: 5 Maximum enrollment: 15 For students who have the developmental skills for a more structured learning environment, Building Blocks focuses on teaching Starshine’s Three Tools of an Actor: using body, voice and mind to create characters. Elementary Acting - $100
Ages 12 – 15 Tuesdays, 12:00pm 1hour Minimum Enrollment: 5 Maximum enrollment: 15 For students who have a grasp of the fundamentals, a more developed approach to the Three Tools, Improv, and staging, as well as beginning scene work. Directing - $175
Ages 15 - 18 Mondays and Wednesdays, 1:30 pm 1.5hours Minimum enrollment: 4 Maximum enrollment: 10 For the advanced actor who wants a taste of directing. This 8-week class will introduce the students to script analysis, casting, staging, and conducting rehearsals. |
